Meet the winemaker Stojan and his five sons, who have been cultivating the fertile land of Brd and Collia for many years.

It would be difficult to determine the age from which the Ščurks have been engaged in viticulture, but it is recorded that Stojanov nono Franc cultivated 1 hectare of vines and produced 50 hectoliters of wine.

Today Stojan, with the help of his five sons, cultivates 20 hectares of vineyards, and the harvest is also suitable for this. The vineyards are located in both the Slovenian and Italian parts of the Brda, and the best locations are Grotišče, Dugo, Mahober, Jazbine, Jordano, Gredič and Kozlink. Ščurkovi offers the market up to 100,000 bottles of quality wine annually.

They remain loyal to fresh but full-bodied wines, which is why they delay the first flow until well into the spring. Such wines need quite some time to come to life in the glass, which is why it is difficult to stop them. With state-of-the-art technology, they also discover the secrets of oak barrels, but above all, they do not forget about indigenous varieties.

We are especially proud of Rebula and the varieties: red and white Stara Brajda, UP and Kontra.
