Grandfather Karlo started viticulture, while father Cvetko took the wine story more seriously at the beginning of the 1960s and produced exclusively open wines from his grapes.

At Bužneli, we have a long winemaking tradition, since already in 1964, nono Karlo supplied quite a few taverns in Ljubljana and Domžale with his wine. We bottled our first wine in 1985, and in 1989 we founded the Brajda association with some other winemakers from Bris. In 1984, we started building the cellar and in 1998 it was expanded and upgraded with a tasting dome and a drying room for dry meats.

Our house wines, which are produced on the 10-hectare estate, are perfectly complemented by the dishes we offer. We have left nothing to chance and every combination is carefully considered. Our wine selection includes 6 labels of different varieties, all of which bear the names of members of our family. From whites – rebula, cvetko (former Tokaj), Elvis white (chardonnay, sauvignon and rebula), to reds – merlot and cabernet sauvignon. In 2012, we also offered Karla sparkling wine for the first time, which is produced according to the classic method. We can also boast of the special Ledano wine from 2009. An ice wine produced for the first time by a Slovenian coastal winemaker.
